It is essential to understand the chemical components of water for use in domestic and commercial properties and practices. The chemical content of water determines its appropriateness for use, whether water treatment is necessary and whether systems of use or process need alterations to reflect the water qualities.
From a changing water perspective if is essential to know whether water may pose a risk to human and/or livestock health. In some circumstances water quality may provide health benefits to the consumer.

BAHS provide a full water sampling, analysis and interpretation service to all clients gear to their needs and level of detail required. Whether it is to confirm your private water supply is potable or to test for known/suspected contaminants our field staff are trained and carry the appropriate sampling equipment to cover most eventualities. BAHS use UKAS accredited laboratories to analyse water samples and in most cases will make special journeys to ensure your water sample reaches the lab within the appropriate time constraint.
